If you are serious about self-discovery, certain truths will emerge. Like a Polaroid picture evolving, your confusion will give way to clarity.
You were raised under specific circumstances by people that were reared the same. But these were particular choices among many. We forget that our environments shaped us, and we are the effect.
It is time, if you have not done so already, to make a thorough assessment of yourself.
You must be brutally honest.
Take an accurate measure of who you are and where you stand. This is your field research from which hard data will be gained, creating a foundation for personal development.
Do not rely on others to give you insight into who you are. As well intentioned (or diabolical) as people may be, they cannot speak to you inner most needs. This is a journey you must make alone.
Here are some basic questions you can start with:
Who am I?
Who do I want to be?
What do I need to change?
What is my plan and time frame?
If you work hard in these areas and embrace change, your progress will become a catalyst for a new life.
But you must start now!
Take care,
Gary
